March is Here!
Here we are in another new month. I skipped February because it was a month filled with sickness for our family: stomach bug, the flu, FL allergies, pulled back muscles...you name it, we experienced it. But here we are in Spring, and it feels nice. Our weather is now in the upper 70's, low to mid 80's, our plants are slowly recovering from some seriously hard freezes, we'll start getting more rain...preparing for new life that always comes this time of year. I am currently

Sweet Cravings? Mug it up!
It's the new year, and we're all most likely deciding to eat better/exercise more/take better care of our health. But sometimes you get a sweet craving and want SOMETHING...fruit cuts it for me at least 90% of the time, but that other 10%? Nope; gotta have something more. And for me personally, I'd rather have a piece of good cake/cupcake than chocolate or pie or candy. Here's where this little beauty comes in: A cake-in-a-mug! 1 serving, slightly sweet, eaten right away..

Geesh...It's been a YEAR!
It's been almost a year since my last rambling...I never wanted that to be the case. But here we are. Easter is fast approaching. Can you really 'spring forward'?
Here we are, in the month of March, the weekend after everyone in the United States - minus Arizona - set their clocks forward an hour, 'springing forward'. And it got me thinking: what would life be like if we - like our clocks each spring - could actually SPRING forward (or FALL back, as the case may be)? I started thinking of things I wish I could change from my past, and caught myself wondering what things in my future are affected by what I'm doing RIGHT NOW that might

So, it's already February...
I meant to post yesterday, the first of February, to make this more...I don't know...momentous? But then I realized: this is just a blog for myself and an occasional friend or stranger that might wonder in, so why am I making it such a big deal? A month after the first of the new year and I'm still pondering on what my 'New Year's resolutions' should/could/would be. I have many things I would like to work on or accomplish, but I feel that if I put them all on a list and say

It's been a freaking long day...
Hi there, everyone! This is my very first blog post and I'm feeling spacey (reference to the title of the post). My son, Zachary, designed this website for me (my old mind was feeling overwhelmed and this was something right up his alley). He then told me that I needed to create a blog post to accompany the Christmas letter - hidden behind the password for safety - to make it "easier" for people to figure out the password in case they can't figure it out from the card. I ha
